- Care in Spanish
A late period, nausea, tiredness or tender breasts raise questions and nerves. A reliable pregnancy test gives you a clear answer in minutes. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud we perform urine and blood pregnancy tests with no appointment, no insurance required and in Spanish, and we guide you on what comes next, without judgment and with full privacy.
What's included?
- Urine pregnancy test: results in minutes
- Blood pregnancy test (hCG): more sensitive and precise, detects pregnancy earlier
- Medical confirmation of the result and an estimate of how many weeks along you are
- Guidance on prenatal care, vitamins and early precautions
- Ultrasound to confirm the pregnancy and its location when indicated
- Referral to gynecology or obstetrics for your prenatal care
Urine or blood test?
The urine test is fast and reliable from the first day of a missed period. The blood test measures the hCG hormone precisely: it can detect pregnancy 7 to 10 days after conception, even before a missed period, and it's also used for follow-up when there are doubts or bleeding. If your home test was negative but your period hasn't come, the blood test settles the question.
When should I get tested?
- From the first day of a missed period (urine)
- From 7 to 10 days after unprotected sex (blood)
- If you have symptoms such as nausea, tiredness, tender breasts or frequent urination
- If your home test is unclear, with a very faint line
- Before starting a medication, a treatment or an X-ray study
What is the visit like?
- You walk in without an appointment and check in at the front desk, in a discreet setting.
- A urine or blood sample is taken, depending on the case.
- The doctor gives you the result and confirms it; for the urine test it's in the same visit.
- If it's positive, we estimate the weeks, recommend prenatal vitamins and guide you on prenatal care.
- If it's negative and your period still hasn't come, we look at other causes such as thyroid problems, stress or hormonal changes.
If the result is positive
A confirmed pregnancy needs prenatal care from the start. We explain which precautions to begin right away (folic acid, diet, which medications to avoid), run the initial blood tests if you wish, and give you the referral for your obstetric follow-up. If you weren't planning a pregnancy, we listen and inform you of your options with respect.
If the result is negative
A missed period can be due to stress, weight changes, birth control, hormonal or thyroid problems. If the delay continues, we help you find the cause in our women's health area.
