Urinalysis & Urinary Infection Treatment

Urinalysis and same-day urinary infection treatment, in Spanish.

  • In-clinic urinalysis
  • Diagnosis of urinary infection
  • Same-day treatment
  • Walk-in care in Spanish

Burning when you urinate isn't something you should "put up with." At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud we run the urine test in-clinic and, if there's a urinary tract infection, you start treatment the same day: no appointment, no insurance required, and in Spanish.

What's included?

  • General urinalysis with results during the same visit
  • Symptom evaluation and medical exam
  • Diagnosis of urinary tract infection (cystitis) and ruling out other causes
  • Same-day treatment with the appropriate antibiotic
  • Urine culture when the infection keeps coming back or doesn't improve, to identify the bacteria and the antibiotic that actually works
  • Clear instructions to relieve symptoms and keep it from returning

UTI symptoms

  • Burning or pain when urinating
  • A constant urge to go, even if very little comes out
  • Cloudy, dark, foul-smelling or bloody urine
  • Pain or pressure in the lower abdomen
  • In some cases, fever, chills or lower-back pain (around the kidneys)

If you have fever, chills or back pain, don't wait: it may be an infection that has already reached the kidneys and needs care that same day.

Why you shouldn't wait or self-medicate

Taking a "leftover" antibiotic or the one that worked for someone else can mask symptoms without eliminating the bacteria, and makes the infection come back more resistant. An improperly treated UTI can progress to the kidneys (pyelonephritis). The urine test takes minutes and tells you exactly what you have and what to take.

Recurring UTIs: what to do?

If you get infections several times a year, that's not normal and it can be fixed. During the visit we review possible causes (hydration, habits, diabetes, hormonal changes, kidney stones) and, if needed, order a urine culture or blood tests to find the source. In women, the discomfort sometimes comes from a vaginal rather than urinary infection: our gynecology care can make the difference in the diagnosis.

What is the visit like?

  1. Walk in without an appointment and check in at the front desk.
  2. Provide a urine sample at the clinic (ideally without having urinated in the past hour).
  3. The medical staff evaluates your symptoms and the test result.
  4. If there's an infection, you leave with your prescription and treatment that same day; we have a pharmacy inside the clinic.
  5. We tell you when to come back if symptoms don't improve in 2-3 days.
