Minor Surgery

Minor outpatient surgical procedures (moles, cysts, lipomas) with local anesthesia.

  • Outpatient procedures
  • Local anesthesia
  • Removal of moles, cysts and lipomas
  • After-care explained

Many skin and soft-tissue problems can be solved with a simple procedure, no hospital required. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud we perform outpatient minor surgery under local anesthesia, the same day: no appointment, no insurance required and in Spanish.

What procedures do we perform?

  • Mole removal for moles that bother you, bleed, change shape or you simply want gone
  • Cyst removal (sebaceous or epidermal cysts — lumps under the skin that grow or get inflamed)
  • Lipoma removal (soft fatty lumps under the skin)
  • Evaluation of other skin and soft-tissue lesions to decide the best treatment

We also handle related procedures: abscess drainage, ingrown toenail removal and wound stitches.

What's included?

  • Evaluation of the lesion by medical staff
  • Outpatient procedure under local anesthesia
  • Stitches when needed
  • Clear aftercare instructions, in Spanish
  • Suture removal at the clinic when applicable
  • Follow-up on healing and wound care if needed

Does it hurt? How long does it take?

With local anesthesia you only feel the initial needle stick; during the procedure you may notice pressure, but no pain. Most minor surgeries take 20 to 45 minutes and you walk out on your own. You can resume normal activities the same day, avoiding strain or getting the area wet as instructed.

When should a mole or lump be checked?

  • It changed in size, color or shape, or has irregular edges
  • It bleeds, hurts, itches or gets inflamed
  • It grew quickly over weeks or months
  • It rubs against clothing, a belt or when shaving
  • You're concerned about how it looks

Removing it early is simple; waiting until it grows or gets infected makes it harder.

What is the visit like?

  1. Walk in without an appointment, check in and the medical staff evaluates the lesion.
  2. If appropriate, the minor surgery is performed the same day under local anesthesia.
  3. You leave with the wound covered and aftercare instructions in Spanish.
  4. You return for suture removal (usually at 7-14 days) or for a check if anything worries you.
